Most of us seek counselling because of a personal challenge too big for us to sort out on our own. Any number of approaches might be useful, and of course the effectiveness of any one of them is always enhanced by a good “fit” between client and counsellor. Many people just need a safe and comfortable environment in which to connect with their own wisdom. Mindbody skills such as meditation, guided imagery, journaling or self hypnosis can all be effective and empowering ways to bypass the busy thinking mind and gain insight, inspiration, and strength. If you are suffering from anxiety or exhaustion, you may also benefit from a relaxing and restorative session of body work. Since you only need to remove glasses and shoes for a session in Body-Mind Centering, it’s a particularly convenient way to de-stress (see Body Therapy) I welcome emails or calls to discuss your needs!
